Another popular
 beach
for the people of Chania - a weekend getaway beach,
and one not as well known by
the tourists.
The drive to Falassarna beach offers a great view as it
mostly follows the northern coast, past Kolimbari and
Kastelli.
 Only
very recently, has the Falassarna area been offering
accommodation as an organised tourist area. A few
years back there was only one
hotel compared to today where the area hosts about 10 hotels
and privately owned villas.
Even today, the
beach
 wont offer more then the mere beach umbrellas and bed as
well as a small canteen offering beverages and snacks.
What one shouldn't miss is the
sunset. Always plan to be
there during this time otherwise you will only have seen
half of the Falassarna beauty.
