Agia Marina Town - Chania, Crete
|
Agia Marina town is known
for its long stretch of road where on the one hand we mostly
see hotels, beach bars and clubs just before the beautiful
beach of Agia Marina - and on the other side of the road we
mostly see the retail shops. The stretch begins where the
stretch of Stalos stops, and basically there is not point to
actually distinguish this at all - apart from the road sign
mentioning the different district.
Of course, this is not only
of what Agia Marina consists of. Just behind this stretch,
one can find a great deal of other accommodation as Agia
Marina was one of the first areas to begin working with
visitors from abroad in a professional matter.
We mustn't forget to
mention the traditional village of Agia Marina which still
preserves it traditional way and feel and is worth visiting
if you want to get the feeling of being away from it all.

Agia Marina Town - 2004-2005
|
Some of the newest hotels
complexes are currently being built in Agia Marina, getting
ready for the coming summer season of 2005. Furthermore,
some of the oldest are being renovated in order to be ready
for next summer. To
add to this change in area look, many new bars and clubs
have opened (and specifically, just a few months ago) making
Agia Marina the most popular night hangout for summer 2004.
The biggest and most popular
beach bars are also located in Agia Marina, a must beach
hangout for the Greeks and an opportunity for some to show
their skills playing racket-ball. |
